Patrick Battillo, the Phoenix Suns fan better known as "Mr. ORNG," was arrested Tuesday on felony charges of luring a minor for sexual exploitation and child sex trafficking.
Battillo, a coach and volunteer at Peoria High School in Arizona, allegedly offered students money in exchange for sexual photos and videos. Students reported Battillo to a teacher, Holly Holgate, who did not immediately report him to authorities. School officials contacted police when alerted of the alleged crimes.
Holgate was arrested on charges of hindering prosecution and failing to report child abuse.
"We are aware that two trusted members of our Peoria High School community were arrested last night," the Peoria Unified School District said in a statement. "We are working to ensure that those who may have been victimized receive the space and care they need, and we are cooperating with Peoria Police Department on their investigation."
According to the district, Battillo had been the school's boys' basketball coach since 2019. Holgate has been a teacher with the district since 2000. Both parties passed background checks in accordance with school policy.
Battillo rose to fame by dressing in all orange to Suns games for more than a decade.
